How to Write Stories with a Twist

By Britt Malka / March 16, 2017

I’ve found two books on Amazon about writing stories with a twist. I’ve read the first one, and it was good. I just spotted the second one now, and it looks great, too.   And the “new” one:

“Ha! Write four books? You’ve told me that joke before”

By Britt Malka / February 19, 2016

This shocked me. In one of the writer’s groups I’m in, a woman told us how she’d been excited about her plans. She wanted to write four books that year. And she said that to her daughter. The daughter’s reaction? "Ha! You’ve not even been able to write ONE book the last four years."

When “free” doesn’t equal “junk”

By Britt Malka / December 11, 2015

I don’t know about you… …but when I see that something is "free," I automatically think "it must be junk." Why else would they give it away for free? Luckily there are exceptions. Where does inspiration for writing come from? A couple of years ago, I got the idea to something that could end up as a series… It was a slight problem, of course, that back then I’d never as much as finished one novella. So other than writing the introduction to this series, I kept it […]

“25 Minute Fiction” took my writing speed up to 3K+ (video gift)

By Britt Malka / March 25, 2015

When Ryan Leonard asked me a few months back to try his “25 minute method”, I wasn’t convinced… I was writing pretty fast already. I could easily spit out 2,000 words of non-fiction per hour. Fiction went slower, but I would normally write 750-1000 words in 45 minutes. “Try it,” he said. And I said, […]

Cover Ready for My First Novel

By Britt Malka / November 12, 2014

Somewhere deep down inside myself, I never thought that day would happen. I wanted to write a novel, but most of the time it was just a faint dream. And the few times I did something about it, I wrote a couple of chapters and then hated my work. If it hadn’t been for a […]
