Two months ago, I told you about a plugin to Firefox and Chrome called Kindle Spy.
Since then, I haven’t used it much.
Not because it’s bad – on the contrary.
But if you remember what I wrote back then, then you’ll know that I found a gold nugget – a hidden gem – and that I intended to explore it.
So together with a good friend I’ve been busy writing 😀
We’ve written two books in that niche. One is already published, and we publish the other one at the end of this week.
We haven’t spent one cent on advertising. We haven’t done free days or anything. No promotion at all. And here are the results.
After 28 hours:
After 48 hours:
After 55 hours:
And a few days later it was ranking at #16,000 but I forgot to take a screenshot 🙁
Today, it’s not ranking quite as well, but that’s normal. We’re still getting plenty of read pages in KU, and it’s normal that books don’t really start selling, before you have several out there, like 3, 4 or 5.
That’s the power of finding a great genre/category
And I would NEVER had discovered this one myself, if I hadn’t used Kindle Spy.
There’s something I want to stress, though…
When I discovered this niche, I had no idea it existed at all. I bought one of the best-sellers in that niche and loved it. I bought several others and read them for fun. I discovered that I really loved reading this – to me – unknown genre.
If I hadn’t loved it, I would NEVER have written books in that genre.
I love to write, but it’s also important to me to make money with my writings at one point, because I waited far too many years, thinking that writing fiction was a luxury I wouldn’t allow myself.
So now I want to combine business and pleasure, and Kindle Spy has certainly helped me do that.
Take a look here and see what it can do for you:
